The Role
Barbican has a paid internship program open to students in their final year of study and fresh graduates who can commit to a minimum of 3 months. Candidates must be based in Singapore and be able to commit to a hybrid work schedule of 2–3 days of in-office work.
As in intern, you will receive on-the-ground training from our research team, where you will conduct in-depth investigative research, use specialized databases and execute due diligence assignments. Candidates will learn to identify, assess, retrieve, and contextualise critical open-source information for investors, and present them in clear, analytical writing for a business audience. By the end of the internship, candidates will have an understanding of the due diligence research process, including where to find information and how to identify risks.
High-performing interns will be considered for conversion to a full-time role at the end of their internship.
The Requirements
You will have the following qualifications and skills:
A university degree, or in your final year of study for a university degree. Majors in humanities, politics, economics, journalism and related fields are welcomed.
Strong English-language research and writing skills are essential.
Fluency in a Southeast Asian language. Native or working proficiency in Vietnamese and/or Thai would be an advantage.
Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and a critical mindset.
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritise workload and work under pressure.
